2 CEREC Premium SW 4.4: More options for your practice lab Sirona’s new CEREC Premium SW 4.4 now allows dentists with a practice lab to treat cases that go beyond what could previously be handled chairside. This has been made possible due to its extended range of indications, a larger selection of processing tools and its support of the inEos X5 and inEos Blue extraoral scanners.
Excellent CEREC initial proposals now also in your practice lab: with the new CEREC Premium SW 4.4 Bensheim/Salzburg. Sirona is now offering even more options for the practice lab with the expanded CAD/CAM software CEREC Premium 4.4. It links the integrated patient-oriented workflow of the CEREC chairside software with the wide range of indications of the inLab software. From crowns to bridges and other sophisticated restorations, all steps can be carried out using just one software in combination with the versatile CEREC milling units. Patient-oriented workflows The expanded indications allow the practice lab to also construct and produce crown copings, bridge frameworks, bridges with anatomical connectors, bars and telescopes. This means treatment for indications previously sent to external laboratories can now be carried out directly in the practice. Dentists may use the CEREC Omnicam or CEREC Bluecam for intraoral scanning, but the CEREC Premium SW 4.4 also supports Sirona’s extraoral scanners inEos X5 and inEos Blue, enabling even the most complex cases.
Many new or further developed tools also improve the machining process. By means of the innovative “Biojaw” algorithm or access to dental tooth databases the dentist receives excellent initial proposals. Clinical quality is improved as a result of the higher degree of detail, sharper preparation margins and the ability to create the smallest fissures during the grinding process. User-friendliness was also further enhanced via new side panels and improved tools. More treatments in less time The new features of CEREC Premium SW 4.4 and the seamless treatment process ensure shorter, simpler and therefore patient-oriented workflows because restorations for a wide range of indications can be prepared in one session or on the same day.
New CEREC 4.3 software Greater clinical safety, simpler workflow and more user-friendly. CEREC has been supporting dentists for more than 30 years with digital.

Cerec Software 4.5
Tuesday, June 24, 2014 Today Sirona took their to the next level. With the introduction of software version 4.3, the dental CAD/CAM company has further improved the ease of use and functionality of their. The update will be available July 1, 2014. Take a look at some of the newest features.
Faster Scanning with the Omnicam: Through software improvements alone, Sirona has dramatically increased the rate of digital impression capture. The company also improved the scan resolution in places such as incisal edges, or knife edge margins. Scan Hints: With 4.3 CEREC software lets you know where your scan may be deficient and automatically shows you where additional scan data is needed to complete the digital impression. Bail Out Mode: If you get to a point where you are ready to design your restoration, but decide you don’t have enough reduction or want to use a material that cannot be milled chairside, you now have the ability to send the case to your lab right from the software via the Sirona Connect system.
Undercut Detection Feature – This new option allows you to choose to either block out an undercut with the software or to mill the restoration the undercut and manage it clinically. Enhanced Incisal Anatomy – Designing incisal features in CEREC 4.3 is faster and easier with more detailed anatomical features available in the software. This feature helps to improve esthetics without having to spend a long time in the design phase. Also introduced at the press event was a new feature for their MC XL milling machine.
Up to now, the CEREC mills used diamond burs for grinding. These burs are great for harder materials such as lithium disilicate, but tend to gum up with softer materials. The CEREC mill will now be able to carbide burs for milling, making it easier and more efficient for the mill to work with material such as pre-sintered zirconia or acrylic temporary materials.
Additionally Sirona discussed the CEREC system’s capabilities for use in chairside implantology. With the Sirona TiBase system and e.max abutment blocks, clinicians can design and fabricate custom implant abutments in the practice, and the system also can be used to design and fabricate surgical guides, allowing a dental practice to provide the entire implant workflow in house. Sirona also reviewed options for the orthodontic version of their scanning system which is expected to launch later this year. The CEREC Ortho module will include connections to Clear Correct for clear aligner fabrication, Dream Guard for mouth guard fabrication as well as to other orthodontic laboratories via Sirona Connect. The CEREC Ortho software features a Guided Scanning protocol that intelligently instructs the capture of a full arch digital impression in less than one minute. These latest innovations from Sirona keep the CEREC system at the head of the pack with the widest range of chairside CAD/CAM indications. Even as the ways it can be applied in a practice continue to grow, the technology gets easier to use.
