Aug 30, 2010 I'm trying to install my own PKI Root Ca on my Windows Mobile device in order to use Exchange ActiveSync. If I simply open the certificate on my device it.

I can't get my Windows Mobile device to trust the certificate of my Forefront TMG 2010 Server. The certificates are generated by my internal PKI which consists of a Root CA and an Issuing CA. On normal PC's it is working correct once I've installed the Root certificate in the Trusted Root Store.

On my mobile phone I've tried this with SSL ChainSaver and it did install the certificates correctly, but still a secure connection fails because the Root CA is not trusted. Could there be a compatibility issue with the certificate and Windows Mobile? Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this challenge? It is a Root Certificate from my own Root CA on Windows Server 2008 R2. SSL ChainSaver does recognize it as a root certificate.

You may check the certificate yourself at mail.verstegen-online.nl. Hi my Friend, in case you havent noticed im from Portugal, US President Obama was here yesterday and love it, so you may too! I know the solution, your problem is about Root CA which has an hash Algoritm SHA256, and the devices with WM6 doesnt support that yet. I understand your concern about security, but you should do this Precise steps. On your CA, you must remove CA Services from your server. Reboot later so. Add CA Role again, but this time, choose Hash Algoritm to be SHA1 or MD5 (It's very important choosing this one's because the devices doesnt understand new hashes, such as sha512).
